How Diablo Became Spirit

how diablo became spirit By Andrew Newman and Anna Breytenbach
Illustrated by Alexis Aronson

This book touched us to the core. An unbelievable true animal rescue story.

From a cage to freedom, from anger to bliss.
How the tides can turn when minds are open and humans and animals build a foundation of trust. Don't ever think change is impossible. Human to human, animal to animal, human to animal. As long as we are breathing and receptive, change can always be in our future.

Three weeks ago I came across a photo meme (picture with a quote) on Facebook that someone I followed had shared. It was a meme by Annie Kagan author of The Afterlife of Billy Fingers. How My Bad-Boy Brother Proved To Me There Is Life After Death I immediately liked her page. All her quotes where fully resonating with me. I knew I wanted to read her book. I'm a huge believer in source energy, the afterlife and have had many conversations with the spirit world myself. During this time my dad's health took a turn for the worse. On the night of May 14th I dreamed all night long a continuous dream. I was sitting with a counsel of beings and Billy. They showed me I would be reading Annie's book during my weekend camping trip. I was in fact prepping to go camping to try and find some balance in nature after our long winter. When in reality it was to prepare me for my father's passing.  When I woke up the following morning I told the Universe or Billy, whomever was prompting me to read The Afterlife Of Billy Fingers, if you want me to read it then our local used book store must have a copy. I'm heading out to go camping and I don't have time to order it. I was leaving to go camping within hours. Sure enough when I called The Book Exchange they had one copy in stock. It was brand spanking new.

I read The Afterlife Of Billy Fingers in two days during my hiatus in the forest. I cried, I laughed and breathed it all in. I came home Sunday afternoon on May 18th and received a call about my dad. Your dad is dying, you need to call him right away. I called him and told him it's ok to go and how much I love him. He passed a half hour later that evening.  Even though I know there's life after death and that we are so much more than we think we are, Annie's book  brought me to a calmness as I work through the loss of my father. I'm awaiting his messages from across the veil.  I soon passed my copy onto Stacy. I couldn't wait for her to read it. She couldn't put the book down either! ~ Carol

Here is our full review. If what we have to say resonates with you we encourage you to read The Afterlife Of Billy Fingers. How My Bad-Boy Brother Proved To Me There Is Life After Death.

The Afterlife of Billy Fingers will draw you in and keep you engaged until the very last word.

It is a real life, inspiring, engaging, emotionally involved, deliberate, well-informed-highly intuitive book. This book will expand your minds and take you to places some of you may have never gone before. And this is a good thing. Annie Kagan will illuminate life and death by taking you on a vivid, colorful ride of her life through the impactful messages received from her brother in the after life.

Children's Book Review: Pocket Mommy

We want to introduce to you a new creative children's book Pocket Mommy by Aila Malik & Zayan Verma. It's a very original children's book to read and use with our kids before they start preschool or kindergarten. All of us parents are aware of the stress factor that goes along with the first day of preschool or kindergarten. Aila and her husband went through this with their own son Zayan. He was having a hard time transitioning. He was nervous and worried about being away so long from mommy. Aila wanting to ease her son's fears created a pocket mommy he could carry in his pocket with him at school. Inspiration followed and Aila later turned her real life story into a learning tool. This helpful children's book is perfect for parents who want to plan ahead and ease those nerves and fears ahead of time before school begins. The valuable lesson in this delightful little book is even though children may be away from their parents they are always in each other's hearts.

Review: The Intuition GuideBook How To Safely And Wisely Use Your Sixth Sense

Cyndi Dale has put together an unmeasurable resource for those who wish to develop their intuition, study their chakras and energy on a more in depth level.

The Intuition Guidebook-How To Safely And Wisely Use Your Sixth Sense is perfect for beginners and delightfully stimulating for the more advanced.

Cyndi Dale covers subject matter not widely talked about but very vital to healthy energetic growth and intuitive development.

"Ultimately, being connected to the greater presence presents you with the greatest gift of all: affirmation of your own presence."

Some of our favorite subjects in The Intuition Guidebook:
1. Five steps for safe psychic activity.
2. How to prepare yourself to be able to become more intuitive.
3. The role feelings play in psychic discernment.
4. Universal laws and how they are all recognized by people and indigenous cultures from all around the world.
5. The importance of getting a gatekeeper, a special being that will help you discern helpful from unhelpful energies, messages and behaviors.
6. The infinite power of love.

One of the reasons we became best friends and have gotten along so well for 26 years is do to the fact we both are very intuitive and empathic. We always talk about following your intuition and developing your psychic skills. Cyndi's newest guidebook gives you the tools to do this. When we take the time to develop our inner selves and then in turn teach these tools to our children, we empower them to lead more fulfilling, connected and rewarding lives.

"The basis of all psychic issues-whether the problem lies in your auric field, your chakras, or any other energy body-is in your programming. A program is a belief that controls our thoughts, emotions, activities, and reactions to life events."

All quotes are from The Intuition Guidebook How To Safely and Wisely Use Your Sixth Sense.

Book Review ~ The Truly Alive Child For Those Who Seek A Grander Vision For Our Children

book

Divine intervention appears to have been running through author Simon Paul Harrison's veins as he wrote his book. The Truly Alive Child For Those Who Seek A Grander Vision For Our Children is full of so many simplistic, realistic tools and answers for the world to read.

"An educational system isn't worth a great deal if it teaches young people how to make a living but doesn't teach them how to make a life" Author Unknown

It is perfect timing for such a book to be presented to our world at a time when our education system is at its worst.

"I would urge everyone who wishes to share their passions with children to explore or at least entertain the ideas that we each have a soul that is connected to all things. ~ Simon Paul Harrison ~ The Truly Alive Child

You want break downs? He's got them. You want answers? He's got them. From the soul, to parenting, to education, to nature, to love, to changing our reality for all our children's futures. If your looking to be inspired in your journey of child rearing this is definitely a must read!

"For example, if we want children to grow up experiencing deep peace, it really does not work to continually subject them to images of violence. I am simply making an observation of the outcomes that arise from certain choices and actions." ~ Simon Paul Harrison

Review: The Legend of The Wolves of Gunflint Lake

The Legend Of The Wolves of Gunflint Lake
All Quotes Are From The Book.

The Legend Of The Wolves of Gunflint Lake is a delightful story that shares the powerful message about the importance of valuing your community, animals and nature.

"Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world." ~ Desmond Tutu

"So it was true with the people who lived a long, long time ago on Gunflint Lake. They were people of the land who cared for one another. Each person in the tribe valued and honored and knew their importance for the success of the community. From the chief, to the littlest baby, they instinctually knew that each was a thread in the web of life." ~ Lisa Sellman

Lisa Sellman takes children on a journey through the eyes of the native american elder storytellers who show the importance of passing down the torch from generation to generation by carrying on the powerful message of the harmonious lessons and connections between nature and man.

Lisa Sellman brilliantly includes life lessons from the heart that teaches the value and respect for all. Whether it be human, nature or animals. She shows how everything is intertwined and has it's own divine purpose. We love how Lisa chose to use the wolf character as the source to guide the children and teach them the wisdom of the universe and encourages them not to forget the ways of gratitude.

The illustrations by Chris Kraetz pulls off a believable portrayal of living life at Gunflint Lake amongst the wolves.

Indigo's Bracelet By: Alexandra Folz Review By: Yvonne Perry

I came across Indigo’s Bracelet on a parenting blog and thought it looked like a good book for my 8-year-old granddaughter, who is a voracious reader and very interested in spiritual things. When the book arrived I was so impressed by the delightful cover that I opened it and started thumbing through. I was captured and decided to start from the beginning. I couldn’t put it down; I had to find out what the gifts were and who was whispering to Indigo.
I like the book because it gives real life situations that young people deal with such as peer pressure, self-image, loneliness, school programs, and a dad who makes promises and then doesn’t deliver. On top of dealing with these “normal” things, Indigo is also empathic. She rescues animals and cares for the environment—often embarrassing herself with this dedication. When her mother gives her a bracelet that she wore as a child, Indigo starts hearing a voice and feeling something strange. Magical things begin to happen that bring gifts or lessons to help heal her heart and self-esteem. Indigo learns the secret to living an authentic life in spite of what other people think: Believe the love you feel inside, not the words of fear that make you hide.
I highly recommend this book and can hardly wait to put it in the mail to my granddaughter. I’m sure she will love it as much as I do!

Interview With Yvonne Perry and What It's Like To Self Publish With Createspace.

Hello Everyone, this is our second interview this week about self-publishing. We know some of our readers are in the process of writing their own manuscripts and figuring out which publishing road to take. Since we have become connected with many authors that have used various publishing sources we wanted to share with you a few perspectives on self-publishing.

We will be hosting a live author chat with Yvonne Perry Tuesday May 10th. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details.

Yvonne, Stacy and I are in the process of reading your books to share with our readers. One of the things that caught my eye was that you published with CreateSpace.

1. Can you begin by telling us about yourself and how you became an author?
I am the mother of two children, stepmother of three, and grandmother of eleven. My family is the joy of my life. However, I also enjoy helping people discover a life of love and joy that comes from the knowledge that we are one with our Creator and each other. I am the host of We Are One in Spirit Podcast, a talk show that offers people a chance to discuss their spiritual experiences. I have a Bachelor of Science in Metaphysics from the American Institute of Holistic Theology.
I first became an author in 2004 when I self-published Email Episodes, my humorous book, which was about my midlife crisis. This was the same year I quit my corporate job and began my own freelance writing business, Writers in the Sky Creative Writing Services http://writersinthesky.com. There wasn’t as many options for publishing back then. Publish-on-demand companies were just coming on the scene and they charged quite a bit up front and had a bad reputation among conventional publishers and bookstores.

2. Why did you pick CreateSpace over other platforms?
I picked Createspace due to my experience with self-publishing and publish-on-demand companies:
I published More Than Meets the Eye ~ True Stories About Death, Dying, and Afterlife through Booksurge (now owned by Amazon) in 2005. A good experience overall but they charged a set-up fee, and I had trouble getting my file to meet their guidelines for submission, and each revised upload costs additional money.
Right to Recover ~ Winning the Political and Religious Wars Over Stem Cell Research in America was published through a medium-sized independent publishing house in 2007. I do not own all the rights to this book and can’t even turn it into an e-book. The company wants to charge me to keep the book off the backlist. A bad experience all around.
In 2009, The Sid Series ~ A Collection of Holistic Stories for Children was self-published through Lightning Source. A good experience overall but they have a set-up fee, a yearly catalog fee, stringent guidelines for file submission, and each revised upload cost additional money.

3. You self-published your children’s book with Lightning Source. Why did you choose to publish with CreateSpace for your latest book about empathy?
I had heard about CS from an author friend who had a great experience with them. Her book looked fabulous but I decided to test the waters by publishing a book of poetry that I had saved on my computer and never done anything with. Stockpiled Poetry: Introspective Thoughts About Life, God, and Other Stuff That Can't Be Explained turned out great, so I decided to use CS for my empath book, Whose Stuff Is This?: Finding Freedom from the Negative Thoughts, Feelings, and Energy of Those Around You. A very positive experience indeed.

Next Live Author Chat Is With Dr. Shefali Tsabary 3/29/11 9PM Eastern

"Our children won't stay around us forever but will soon move on to their own lives. It's during the few short years we have them to ourselves that we can help them awaken to the fullness within them, because it's into this inner cup that they will dip when they are alone at college and under pressure, in a relationship and struggling with intimacy, or in a financial crunch and anxious. To prepare them for this, their spirit needs to be nourished on a daily basis." ~ Dr. Shefali Tsabary The Conscious Parent  Transforming Ourselves Empowering Our Children

My top five favorite messages from The Conscious Parent.
1. I really loved that throughout The Conscious Parent, Shefali reaffirms the processof parenting and life is more important than the outcome.
2. Your unconsciousness isn't your children's to inherit: it is yours to excavate. Being a conscious parent means you are increasingly aware of your unconsciousness as it arises in day to day situations.
3. Shefali demonstrates through her own experiences how to honor your children for their essential qualities such as joy, peace, authenticity, courage and trust.
4. By being fully present with your child, you learn how to make the simple moments count.
5. Shefali shows you how through your children you can learn how to really live, meet your children as they are being to being!

Read my full review!

"Shefali Tsabary's invaluable book shows how the challenges of parenting can become a great opportunity for spiritual awakening. Becoming a fully conscious parent is the greatest gift you can give to your child." ~ Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now and A New Earth
