What If Your Child Has The Brain Of A Psychopath? Could you influence their life path?

(A picture of Carol's son Josh holding Marv when we was a puppy.
No reference to being a psychopath!)

I recently saw a very intriguing episode on AC360. Anderson Cooper's guest was James Fallon a neuroscientist who's spent his career studying psychopaths and observing their character traits. He also examines their brains through brain scans. James Fallon is the author of The Psychopath Inside: A Neuroscientist's Personal Journey into the Dark Side of the Brain.

Here's the show I watched.

Video: Many presidents had psychopathic traits?

James Fallon found out through a brain scan of his own brain that he also has the brain of a psychopath. What really got my attention is when Anderson asked him why he thought he didn't turn out to be a serial killer.

Children's Book Review: Pocket Mommy

We want to introduce to you a new creative children's book Pocket Mommy by Aila Malik & Zayan Verma. It's a very original children's book to read and use with our kids before they start preschool or kindergarten. All of us parents are aware of the stress factor that goes along with the first day of preschool or kindergarten. Aila and her husband went through this with their own son Zayan. He was having a hard time transitioning. He was nervous and worried about being away so long from mommy. Aila wanting to ease her son's fears created a pocket mommy he could carry in his pocket with him at school. Inspiration followed and Aila later turned her real life story into a learning tool. This helpful children's book is perfect for parents who want to plan ahead and ease those nerves and fears ahead of time before school begins. The valuable lesson in this delightful little book is even though children may be away from their parents they are always in each other's hearts.

Is Abundance A Mindset?

Abundance has been showing up on my radar today. I'm seeing references all over the place. On Facebook, in my inbox and on some of my favorite blogs. When you think or say the words "abundance" or "money" how does it make you feel?

Does it make you feel excited, sad, frustrated or neutral? Money can have a vibrational charge to it depending on how we feel about it and what our core beliefs surrounding money are.

If money seems elusive to you. I ask you to look deep within and find your blocks and clear out the clutter. Money flows in and out of our lives. Money is energy and carries it's own vibration. When you make peace with it, the flow is more consistent.

You might be wondering what does abundance have to do with parenting? Well, here is my thoughts on that. When we clear our blocks with money the world opens up. Expansion happens and more ways of creating, manifesting and receiving are presented to us because we are no longer blocking the flow. Opportunities arrive out of nowhere? We can go more places, see and do more things. We can provide our children with what they need. We also can help more people. Look at the difference Oprah has made. If she never worked through her money blocks she would have taken a completely different path. The ripple effect she has created will continue long after she is gone.

We pass on our money beliefs to our children through the words we speak and by our actions.

Carol & Stacy's Interview on Peaceful Parents Radio Show With Genevieve Kohn - Raising Our Children With Intention

Hello everyone, we wanted to share with you some exciting news. We were on our very first parenting radio show.  Peaceful Parents radio is hosted by a wonderful lady named Genevieve Kohn. Do to time constraints we pre-recorded the show. Genevieve was truly amazing, very grounding and resonated with us both.

Parents and guardians if you have any questions after listening to the show please leave them here or on the radio show page. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Replay.

Show topic:  Raising Our Children with Intention

Parents are the co-creators of their child’s future by the choices they make in raising their children. When parents parent from their intentional conscious self they are more emotionally available to teach their children how to thrive in life, nurturing them in a positive manner. They learn how to treat themselves and how to treat others with honor and respect.

Teaching Children The Art Of Giving.

The holiday season can get very busy and a bit crazy. This time of year not only do you have your normal responsibilities but you have all the holiday preparations to tend to. It is real easy to get caught up in the commercial side of Christmas as well. On Saturday mornings commercials between cartoons flood children's minds with what is shiny and new. There is nothing wrong with wanting a new toy or item, but some parents want more than that for their children. They want to create a lasting memory and guide their child towards a life of philanthropy. A philanthropist is someone who promotes the welfare of others.

I really credit the fact that my sons are very passionate about nature and wildlife because they watched their parents donate time at the local shelter, donate money to help feed hungry animals and rescue abandoned animals. My youngest son Josh has a special touch with younger children. In his tween years he left public school and we homeschooled him the rest of middle school and high school.

What To Tell Your Children About Santa

While raising our boys. The topic of telling our children the truth about Santa became a regular seasonal discussion around our house. This subject can be really hard for parents. Especially a holiday so commercialized. Questions parents often ask themselves are: Am I taking my child's imagination away if I tell them the truth? Is a little white lie that harmful?

Let There Be Peace On Earth And Let It Begin With Me!

Recently Stacy's daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter took a fieldtrip to The RedSun Labyrinth in Victor Montana. She came home, full of life. Her spirit was lit up. She was totally balanced and grounded from connecting with the vibration and energy of the Labyrinth. She couldn't stop talking about all the fun she had. While at the Labyrinth she walked in silence through the spiral maze tuning into and feeling the energy.
