Fun Simple Nontoxic Projects To Do With Your Kids.

Fun Simple Nontoxic Projects To Do With Your Kids.

Create your own nontoxic finger paint.

Mix together plain yogurt and Kool Aid. Your kids will love it and it won't hurt them if they accidentally eat it.

Tie Dye T-Shirts and Socks.

Mix a solution of Kool Aid in a container, tie a rubber band around a section of the T-Shirt. Here is a handy dandy fully instructional blog post by wikiHow  to walk you through step by step t-dye instructions.

Homemade Playdough.

We've made homemade playdough for years. When the kids were little we kept playdough on hand for creative time. This recipe from Instructables is just like the recipe we like to use. It has colorful step by step instructions. If you don't have any playdough toys simply supplement with items from your kitchen. Rolling pins, measuring spoons, measuring cups and cookie cutters work great!

Parenting Coming Out Of The Dark Ages?

We found this video so pleasing, especially since we reviewed Dr. Shefali's book The Conscious Parent in 2010 and hosted a live chat with her in March 2011. It's so magical to us that conscious parenting is finally taking center stage. Like we've said before we've raised our children this way starting 30 years ago. Since Dr. Shefali appeared with Oprah on Super Soul Sunday it is now getting the recognition that we feel is needed for our children, parents and society.

We resonate with the words Sabrina Brightstar talks about in this video. She's right, we are all responsible for the children. Our beliefs, thoughts, ability to love ourselves and evolve does have an impact on today's children. We hope all you parents will take a look at this video. It is time to change the world by changing how we parent.
