I Love You And I Love Myself By: Alexandra Folz

“I love you, and I love myself,” she says with a smile. I heard these empowering words from my eight year old daughter this week. I thought to myself, how awesome! She is harvesting her OWN love.

How often do we hear children talk about self-love? How often do kids express self-love without feeling embarrassed, bashful, or afraid of sounding arrogant?

Not enough in my opinion!

More importantly as a parent, can we say to our child, “I love you, and I love MYSELF?” For some, this may sound corny. I get it, trust me. But let’s step over this obstacle and see the writing on the wall. If we can’t say those words, how can we expect our children to become self-aware, self-confident and love themselves?

"I had heard lots about indigo children, yet very little about crystal children. While shopping at Trader Joe's, I met a woman (possibly an angel). She seemed to come out of nowhere. She came straight to me, as if on a mission. She was a 90 something woman with a thick German accent. She grabbed my cart and pushed it to the wall. "I have to talk to you." A few characteristics of crystal children.

• They are very gentle, intuitive and have deep insights to themselves and others.
• In an open environment they are more than willing to tell you about their past lives
• Easily connect with the spirit world, seeing spirits, angels, guides or ghosts
• They may not want to speak with their voice and prefer to think their thoughts to you, sometimes needing to be reminded to use their voice.
• Crystals like the Indigo's tend to have a deep connection to nature and feel compelled to clean up our planet.

Showing Off Or Showing Up By: Alexandra Folz

Last weekend I took my girls roller skating at the local roller rink. I wanted mom/daughter bonding time, AND a date with my inner child.

These past few years I’ve peeled off stifling layers of adulthood, and the illusion that I am my past, my parents, my enemies, my friends, my stuff, my occupation, my children, and my future. I believe this is why “she” showed up! Yes, my inner child met me at the skate counter as I traded my Dansko’s in for sassy, hard-leather skates with frayed laces and orange wheels.

You’d think since I wrote Indigo’s Bracelet, I have a great relationship with my inner child. But that’s just not the case. In fact, I actually believe writing the story helped me find her (most of you already figured that out).

Before I go on, here are a few definitions for inner child.
