A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
They say a pictures worth a thousand words, well I may just have to agree with that...Kids are just so darn curious about everything, the world, bugs, people, stores, animals, bed time books, etc.......why is this?..How is that?..Can I do it?....They don't know to be timid or afraid unless they learn it from us or see it some where, otherwise they appear to be fearless.
They are as a sponge and soak it all up..... The picture here just drips of curiosity. She is ready to learn up close and dissect it all.
It is up to us to feed their curiosity help them along their path what ever that is.....embrace it... Take time to listen to your children see what it is that interests them.
She on her own went and picked up the magnifying glass and asked to be put in her chair. She was on a mission...It did not matter that she could not read the places on the globe her actions were enough for her...
How does your child show curiosity?
How do you encourage your children to explore what interests them?

Tie Dye T-Shirts and Socks.

Homemade Playdough.
We've made homemade playdough for years. When the kids were little we kept playdough on hand for creative time. This recipe from Instructables is just like the recipe we like to use. It has colorful step by step instructions. If you don't have any playdough toys simply supplement with items from your kitchen. Rolling pins, measuring spoons, measuring cups and cookie cutters work great!

Parenting Coming Out Of The Dark Ages?
We found this video so pleasing, especially since we reviewed Dr. Shefali's book The Conscious Parent in 2010 and hosted a live chat with her in March 2011. It's so magical to us that conscious parenting is finally taking center stage. Like we've said before we've raised our children this way starting 30 years ago. Since Dr. Shefali appeared with Oprah on Super Soul Sunday it is now getting the recognition that we feel is needed for our children, parents and society.
We resonate with the words Sabrina Brightstar talks about in this video. She's right, we are all responsible for the children. Our beliefs, thoughts, ability to love ourselves and evolve does have an impact on today's children. We hope all you parents will take a look at this video. It is time to change the world by changing how we parent.
