Perspective And The Front Lawn By: Odysseus

The idea of being a guest blogger ignited my thinking around the idea of perspective and how important diverse and expansive perspective are to both growing children and growing parents.
Having lived my entire childhood, my youth, and most of my adult life in America, I feel a strong connection to all things American.  For better or worse. everything from baseball and beer commercials, two-party politics and ex-Monsanto executives serving as Supreme Court Justices to Native American "reservations' and ancient Redwoods, Nat King Cole and Nirvana, my psyche is saturated in Americanisms.

More recently, the smoothie of my consciousness has been enriched by some new perspectives.   My son Phoenix and I have lived the last five years on an agricultural Greek Island.   Here my ancestors, famous for their strides in the Maths, Sciences, Philosophy and the Arts, and on this particular island healing and medical insights, our perspective has expanded. The shift of perspective that a connection to my roots and a view of the USA from the outside has offered has been enlightening and instructional on many levels.

As a suburban teenager growing up in a typical white-picket fence, two-car garage community, mowing and watering the lawn in the spring and summer and raking and bagging the leaves to be discarded with the trash in the fall, were not only part of my weekly chores, but became a way of earning money, as I went to work for a friend's lawn care business.  In those days the thought that row after row of manicured grass lawns just might represent an enormous waste of resources, was not yet even in the germination stage of my conscious thinking.

Here on the Island of Kos, in the Aegean Sea, the only grass fields are the ones cultivated for playing football(or soccer as it is known to Americans).  The typical home here is surrounded by olive, orange, lemon and pomegranate trees and likely has grape vines somewhere on the porch or terrace.  Once spring comes, whatever front or back yards locals have, no matter how small or big, are turned into farming space.  With the first day of Spring a week away, I have been spending the last week starting seven different kinds of tomatoes, cucumbers, red peppers, some rare green beans passed on from the Cherokee (pre-America) nation,  lots of watermelons and cantaloupes. Greens and herbs I will sow directly into the Earth in the next couple of weeks.

This photo, is not me as a suburban American teenager, but my son Phoenix before a traditional Greek dance performance.....

Make The Voices In My Head Stop! By: Yvonne Perry

Make the Voices in My Head Stop!
By Yvonne Perry

Recently, I have heard several parents and a teacher tell about children who hear voices in their heads. The adult’s responses range from being worried about the kids having a mental/emotional disturbance to accepting  the child as being psychic and/or clairaudient. I’d like to share those stories as case studies to show how these voices can be eliminated or turned down.

Generally speaking, when a child hears voices or sees ghosts, it is usually an indication that he has wandered into the ghost world  rather than the ghost actually seeking the child out to taunt him or her. If a child is trying to escape a situation for whatever reason, he may dissociate from present reality and wander into the realm where souls live who have not crossed over after departing from the body. Once a child has tapped into this realm, it is easy to continue to do so even without intending to. It is especially important for empathic children (and adults) to recognize their own vibrational resonance, but many are not able to discern what their own energy feels like enough to know when it has roamed into foreign territory or when their own energy field is being violated.

In one case study, a child told his teacher that the voices in his head come and go throughout the day but won’t stay away permanently.  When the voices begin screaming, the boy holds his hands over his ears and cries, “The voices! The voices!” His mother told the teacher that this started happening when the boy was two years old.  The voices frighten the child but he says he can only make them go away temporarily in his “thinking” (telepathically) not his words. He has described to his mother people who have passed (that he didn’t know prior). One of these is the child’s grandpa (who is deceased) and he tells him to fight the voices. While I’m sure grandpa with his ghostly advice is well meaning, fighting is a form of resistance and will only serve to make the voices worse. By the way, I’m sensing that the grandpa has not crossed over because he feels a need to protect the grandson. The grandpa may be projecting his own fear onto the boy. And, the boy says that he was sent here to protect his mother.

Whatever we think about comes about. The universe will allow us to experience or attract more of whatever we focus our energy and attention upon. In this case study, once the voices started harassing this boy, he reacted with fear, which gives the entities the energy they need to continue their  activity. Once the boy turned his attention to the voices, he expected them to continue bothering him—and they are happy to comply. Thus, he attracts more of the same. Obviously, this child is in tune with the other side and not just because he is in their territory. He is indeed psychic, and he needs to know how to turn off the voices. He has innocently been serving as a punching bag and laughing stock for ghosts and as a surrogate for his deceased grandpa’s fear, in addition to feeling responsible for his mother’s well-being. Such a huge emotional burden for a young child!

All children can be taught to stand in their personal spiritual power to protect themselves from this kind of ghostly nuisance. This is best done by inviting higher vibrating energy such as the Holy Spirit, angels, archangels, and ascended masters  into their auric field. Part of the problem here is a lack of education. Unfortunately, most parents teachers, school counselors, and therapists are not trained to deal with psychic children who see ghosts or hear voices. The children of today are psychic like no other generation prior, and we have a responsibility to help them manage their intuitive gifts.

Thank You, Angels! By: Doreen Virtue, PH.D. With Kristina Tracy
Illustrated By Patricia Keeler

Thank You, Angels! Is a brilliant book to be used as a stepping stone for building a child's foundation on how to engage in a relationship with their angels.

The illuminated examples of everyday readily available angels vividly shows children how all they have to do is just ask for their angels and they are there. It teaches them how to easily look, listen and feel for angel signs.

On the last page Doreen and Tracy ask the children, " What is the only thing angels want in return?"
Do you know what it is?
It is just three little eloquent powerful words!

Review by Stacy Toten and Carol Lawrence

"Earthquakes, Earth and You" By Maureen Moss

Here is Maureen's newest article. I was so moved by it I just had to share it with all of you! Love to all, Carol

BRAND NEW ARTICLE:
"Earthquakes, Earth and You"
Maureen Moss

Dearest Hearts,

As always I pray you are well.

For the past several days I have been awakened around 4:00AM to just sit and be still (not write) and contemplate where we are as a species and as a planet, and what it means to watch, not just realize, that the world as we have known it is ending with a big bang, just as it began.

I'd thought about writing, many an early morning as so much awareness and feelings were coming up at rapid speed, but realized I needed to feel into all of the feelings before doing so. I have had so many conflicting feelings I wasn't certain which were mine, which were from the mass consciousness and which were as a result of all of the geophysical activity.

I soon realized they were all mine. There was no separation or parceling it out. I was to be with all of it.

One minute tension, the next tears. Confusion followed by clarity, peace followed by unrest, feeling raw and then feeling like a butterfly must feel when it's first drying off and begins to realize it is about to begin a brand new existence. Where to fly first?

For me, I wasn't quite sure what to do, how to be, or what to think. I was all over the boards, and just needed to be, without judgment about myself until I landed somewhere. And then came the monstrous earthquake, and I seemed to land.

When the earthquake in Japan hit with such velocity, the only thing I could think about was how brave my brothers and sisters across the globe were to have complied, at some level, to help the rest of the world wake up (again) more fully to the only thing that matters, love, and to the only expression that will get us from one world to the next, love.

Though this certainly wasn't the first event attempting to garner our attention, it was a massive one that could not and cannot be ignored, with more to come. We will be reminded over and over and over again until we get that the only reason we are here, is to love.

Though there are rumors that Japan's earthquake was "man-made," and others, that reported otherwise, it's irrelevant to a large degree and another distraction. At the end of the day, it's still about us that are left standing in the moment, being made ready to be birthed into a completely different life, where love rules above and beyond all else.
