What's The "Spirit" in Spirit Camp?

Guest Article by Eva Goulette.

One of the major ways Dancing Jaguar's Spirit Camp differs from other camps is its focus.
This program teaches children to focus inward and to learn how to navigate their inner landscape. When children are at school, they are nurturing their minds; when they play sports they are nurturing their bodies; and when they attend Spirit Camp, they are nurturing their spirit -- that wonderful essence that makes each child a unique, beautiful individual. Human beings are made up of mind, body, and spirit. How can we expect to have fully balanced, whole lives if we neglect and even refuse to acknowledge a third of who we are?

The spirit within each of us contains a small, quiet voice, - our intuition.

6 Ways To Include Intuition In Your Parenting

Our intuition is always giving us signs.” ~ Author Eileen Fisher

We wanted to share with you a few ways you can include intuition in your parenting.

1. Ask your child how a particular situation made them feel.

2. After a bad day at school, ask them to describe it to you so you can help them process their feelings.

3. Show your children how to listen, feel, see, and experience their connections.

Temper Tantrums ~ An Opportunity To Teach Your Child How To Process Emotions

Temper Tantrums ~ An Opportunity to Teach Your Child How to Process Emotions

By Yvonne Perry

Empathy and intuition gives us the ability to better understand how we are connected to other living things. It is a form of communication with others, nature, animals, and even higher or spiritual forms of life. We are all born with empathic ability but most of us shut the sensing ability down at some point either because the energy overload causes discomfort or we are taught not to trust our inner guidance. By shutting down our intuition and empathic ability, we live in our heads and are pretty much out of touch with our body and our own emotions.

Raising Self-Empowered Thinking Children

(Rachel, Josh, Tony, and Sarah; holiday get-together, Rachel helping Tony get ready for Halloween,
Family gathering during summer, Tony's birthday)

While raising our kids with the mindset of conscious parenting we purposely chose to teach them in a manner of thinking which enabled them to be self-empowered in their own thinking.  As we were fully aware we were raising adults and they would not be children forever. Everyday choices are a part of our society and soon would be theirs. As we guided them through their childhood and through their teenage years we were always focused on enhancing their already awakened intuitive skills.

An Interview with renowned author, speaker, healer, and business consultant Cyndi Dale.

We have a special treat for you. We recently interviewed intuitive author Cyndi Dale. We can't wait for you to read her inspirational answers. We want to send out a special thank you to Cyndi for sharing such deep answers. She truly walks an intuitive connected path. Enjoy! Please share your thoughts. If you have any follow up questions, share them. We'll make sure Cyndi sees your questions. ~ Carol and Stacy

Carol and Stacy:    At what age did you know your were intuitive or have your first intuitive experience?

Cyndi: I didn’t have a label for the phenomenon, but I was intuitive as a very small child. I actually remember being in my mother’s womb and watching sound waves pass through her skin and into me. They were huge and colorful and the ones that came from angry comments actually hurt.

Interesting…those spots that were hit by the harsh comments have been the same ones I’ve had afflictions, such as infections, palpitations, and more.

At about three or four, I recall seeing angels. I saw them as a child might: as big with wings. There was one I favored in particular since he would have tea parties with me. Imagine sitting with an angel at a child’s table, his wings dripping onto the floor, his gigantic hands picking up tiny teacups.

But I also saw beings that weren’t so delightful. I could hear and see ghosts, people who continued to stay around though dead. These weren’t particular scary, most of the time, except when I was three and a half, we moved to California and I saw the image of a woman hanging by a noose in our garage. My parents later told me that yes, in fact, someone had hung herself in the garage. I also saw figures I would call demonic—dark, grey, and shadowy, float around the room and sometimes, into and out of my parents when they were in bad moods.

Carol and Stacy:    What was your childhood like? Are your parents intuitive?

Cyndi: I had a mixed childhood. I lived a lot in my dreams and intuitions, sometimes forcing my sisters to engage with me in that subtle world. Modeled after some of the ghosts I saw, especially those in long flowing gowns, and what seemed to be their life stories, I’d play dress up, write stories, put on plays.

I also loved nature. To me, it was alive. There was a sense about the grass that was different than the trees; rocks had personalities; stream beds, promises.

I believe that my parents were intuitive but didn’t know or like it. My dad would shake his head if I shared a perception and say,

Review: The Intuition GuideBook How To Safely And Wisely Use Your Sixth Sense

Cyndi Dale has put together an unmeasurable resource for those who wish to develop their intuition, study their chakras and energy on a more in depth level.

The Intuition Guidebook-How To Safely And Wisely Use Your Sixth Sense is perfect for beginners and delightfully stimulating for the more advanced.

Cyndi Dale covers subject matter not widely talked about but very vital to healthy energetic growth and intuitive development.

"Ultimately, being connected to the greater presence presents you with the greatest gift of all: affirmation of your own presence."

Some of our favorite subjects in The Intuition Guidebook:
1. Five steps for safe psychic activity.
2. How to prepare yourself to be able to become more intuitive.
3. The role feelings play in psychic discernment.
4. Universal laws and how they are all recognized by people and indigenous cultures from all around the world.
5. The importance of getting a gatekeeper, a special being that will help you discern helpful from unhelpful energies, messages and behaviors.
6. The infinite power of love.

One of the reasons we became best friends and have gotten along so well for 26 years is do to the fact we both are very intuitive and empathic. We always talk about following your intuition and developing your psychic skills. Cyndi's newest guidebook gives you the tools to do this. When we take the time to develop our inner selves and then in turn teach these tools to our children, we empower them to lead more fulfilling, connected and rewarding lives.

"The basis of all psychic issues-whether the problem lies in your auric field, your chakras, or any other energy body-is in your programming. A program is a belief that controls our thoughts, emotions, activities, and reactions to life events."

All quotes are from The Intuition Guidebook How To Safely and Wisely Use Your Sixth Sense.

The Intuitive Child: Extrasensory Gifts Creating An Extraordinary World By Cyndi Dale

The Intuitive Child:
Extrasensory Gifts Creating An Extraordinary World
By Cyndi Dale

I was nervous. A mom I’d never met was bringing her son to see me for an energy healing session. He was in his 20’s and had not spoken or walked in his life, ever since he had almost died during surgery when he was a year old. His mother would be carrying him in.

How was I going to figure out how to help him?

Within a few minutes, I was enamored with this young man. I could sense his kindly soul, his awareness of the life around him. And then, something special happened. It was as if his inner self reached into my mind, offering words and pictures for me to interpret.

“Why, Blaine!” I cried out. “You remember heaven! You want this information shared with the world,” I added. “Is it through a book?”

He laughed. He LAUGHED, before nodding his head.

Blaine was communicating with me intuitively, intuition his main way of interacting with the world.

Many of Blaine’s five senses weren’t functional enough for him to communicate with others, but his sixth sense was. In working with him, I figured out he was able to sense others’ feelings and needs, send healing to the ill, and touch the hems of angelic garments. He could read what others’ needed and felt frustrated because he was all-too often not understood.

All children are equipped with a sixth sense; they simply don’t need to rely on it as completely as does Blaine. Having said that, why wouldn’t we want to afford our children full and safe access to their sixth sense, the ability to reach beyond the ordinary five senses? To help our children access these gifts wisely is to activate an internal GPS, one that can provide direction, revelation, comfort, and healing. As extra-ordinary as is the sixth sense, it can be the most practical sense of all.

There are three main considerations involved in guiding our children into their sixth sense. The first is deciphering a child’s strongest gift so you can customize a fun and exciting development process. The second is safety. Intuition involves receiving and sending psychic information. Without filters, we don’t know if we’re working with valid or invalid, helpful or harmful information. The third deliberation is to slowly and enjoyably invite children to actively engage the world via their specific intuitive gifts, making sure they are always comfortable with the process.

There are actually twelve different types of intuitive gifts, which can be divided into four main categories. The simplest way to figure out a child’s gifts is to ask him or her which of the following four descriptions best describes how they know what’s happening inside and outside of themselves. (I have written these descriptions in such a way that you can read them to your child.)

·         Physically kinesthetic: Feeling gifts.Your body tells you what is happening in others.

Carol And Stacy's Review Of Second Sight By Judith Orloff, M.D.

Second Sight ~ An Intuitive Psychiatrist Tells Her Extraordinary Story And Shows You How To Tap Your Own Inner Wisdom. Judith Orloff, M.D.

Stacy and Carol's Review Of Second Sight By Judith Orloff, M.D.
All quotes are from Second Sight.

We could tell the minute Second Sight arrived in the mail by looking at the name of the chapters this was going to be a great book!

The beginning of wisdom, validating the voice, the alchemy of dreams, intuitive experiences in everyday life, the well-balanced intuitive, the spiritual path of intuition, and honoring the gift are just some of the chapter titles.

"I listen and diagnose with my intellect and my intuition, a potent inner wisdom that goes beyond the linear mind."

Second Sight is a raw and honest tell-tell book about how an intuitive spiritual being came into her own. Even though Judith's mother tried to stifle Judith's gifts as a child, Judith persevered and followed her inner calling. The dynamic relationships Judith has encountered through-out her life grabbed us and pulled us into her world. It was so intensely familiar to us we couldn't wait to turn the next page. This is one book we did not want to end.

" At the onset, you must approach intuition with the proper attitude. The power that comes with it can be very seductive, and should always be treated with the utmost respect. For that reason, one must find a mature teacher, both knowledgeable and humble, to guide the initial stages."

Judith vigorously pursued knowledge to learn about herself and how to tap into her own inner wisdom. Her extraordinary story will keep you spellbound until you the read the last written word in her book,

Compromise And Compassion Lead To Connection And Peace. ~ Maureen Simon

"The world holds enough unnecessary conflict today. Compromise and compassion lead to connection and peace. When we learn to think before we take action or react, we create a more thoughtful, meaningful response than otherwise. When we begin to consider issues without competition and status, we allow the space to explore fully, communicate, and develop the true outcome or best direction in which to proceed. When we encourage people to be involved and participate in discussions and decisions, we build increased agreement. Sometimes there can be a creative tension when we work to achieve what we want, for we value maintaining a given relationship. But those who have developed sense of how to keep harmony and peace learn the skills to respect their own needs while they honor the needs of others."  Maureen Simon

The purpose of cultivating ourselves intuitively, a snippet inside Second Sight By Judith Orloff

"The purpose of cultivating ourselves intuitively is to open. And then to open even more. With prescience, we come to know ourselves well, become more sensitive to friends and family. Better able to respond to their needs, we can be lovingly in harmony with our relationships. The choices we make become truly well-informed, based on our innermost desires, not on some artificial notion of who we are supposed to be."

When Fear Turns Into An Anxiety Problem By: Yvonne Perry

When Fear Turns into an Anxiety Problem
By Yvonne Perry
(Updated March 2014)

It’s normal for early school age children to develop fears of insects, reptiles, strangers, and other tangible things they can see or touch. But, some kids, including teenagers, are afraid of intangible things such as the ghosts they are able to see, hear, and sense. More and more intuitive kids today are reporting their psychic abilities and the disturbances that accompany such activity.

Is your child getting visual images, having dreams, or sensing something isn’t quite right? This intuitive insight can help you redirect him by listening and offering to help him end his unhealthy relationship or association with an entity. However, young children may have trouble communicating their feelings, fears, and distresses. You may have to look for other indicators. Clinginess and sudden outbursts of anger are signs that your child is worried about something. If your intuitive teenager who normally does well at school suddenly becomes fearful or starts missing school or doing poorly on exams, he or she may have developed anxiety due to a paranormal experience that he or she is afraid to discuss with you.

Empathic children who see, feel, and hear in another dimension can be adversely affected by this energetic overload. An empath is sensitive to what is obvious as well as unseen things such as ghosts and the thoughts, emotions, and illnesses they sense around them. Empaths may get hunches, see mental pictures, hear voices, or have a gut feeling that supplies hidden information about people and situations. They may also get a physical sensation in their body that lets them know where another person is afflicted or suffering.

The Power of color.

I've been thinking a lot about color and how we use color in our lives.
We paint our walls pretty colors, buy ourselves beautiful colorful flowers and pick out our favorite colorful clothes.

Colors are everywhere. What you may not know is that colors have a purpose.

Each color emits it's own vibrational frequency. Children sense this and use this to their advantage.

They'll request a certain color of shirt to wear, use specific colors when they draw, color or paint. They have favorite colors they want to be surrounded by.

We recently just added a new page on colors, some of their meanings and how you can incorporate using colors intentionally with your children .

Learn more about  The Power Of Color.

How  does your family purposely use color. Do your children have specific requests, play certain games, use color to sooth or comfort themselves. If you have more suggestions for our Power Of Color page please email us or leave a comment.

Thank you so much for reading our blog.
As we always say. Follow your intuition!

An Important Life Tool Everyone Could Be Using.

An important life tool everyone could be using.

Are you teaching your child to have a relationship with their inner voice?

Do you have a relationship with your inner voice?

The benefits of this vital tool (learning how to listen to your inner voice) can carry you through your lifetime.
Ask yourself these questions to tap into your inner voice.
Tapping into your inner voice or intuition is the ability to access and respond to information coming from the subtle energy fields around us including our higher selves, spirits, angels, nature, signs from "Divine Guidance" or "Source Energy"

1. What are you feeling?
2. How are you feeling?
3. Are you even having a feeling?
By tuning into your inner feelings you are able to learn how to decifer what your gut instincts are trying to tell you.

Your inner voice you have within you is your own inner guidance system.
It is available 24/7. It is up to us to utilize this gift. Every human being on this planet is born with this ability. This ability can be recognized by many different names such as:

Sixth Sense
Goosebumps
ESP
Clairvoyance
Hunch
Divination
Discernment
Intuition
Gut Instinct
Feelings
Vibes
Inner Awareness

Are you tuned in or are you tuned out?

When you are tuned out and unable to listen, your feelings are shut off!

Part of being tuned out could feel like your out of balance, things are just not jiving, something just feels a little off. You are not in the flow of manifesting what you truely want in your life. It is very hard to connect with your inner voice if you are tuned out.

What is your experience? What has happened in your life when you listened to your inner voice?
What about when you weren't listening? (We would love for you to share with us, how trusting your inner voice has made a difference in your life)

Intuition & Prosperity

Intuition & Prosperity

By David Morelli

What would change in your life if you could see which financial opportunities were HOT and which were not? We all have an inner guidance system within us. We all have the ability to intuit with laser-clarity, but most of us have never learned how to use it effectively and consistently.

When Kristin was working in her 20s, she learned to develop this skill. It led her to see and seek opportunities which had a lot of “aliveness” or “energy” in them.

As sales director at a startup Kristin “just knew” that they had to pursue a certain deal, and she needed to convince the startup to pour their precious resources into this to make it happen. She know that if the deal failed, it could have been the end of the company. However Kristin followed the guidance of her intuition and closed the deal, resulting in $200,000,000.00 and making the company a huge success. Intuition not only works for money, it works for everything in our lives.

When I use my intuition with guiding people in their growth it’s tapping into the same type of wisdom. By “tuning into them” I can literally see what the main block is to their dream, goal, or desire. It shocks people to be “so seen so quickly.” Bob Doyle, featured teacher in the movie The Secret commented on how it only took me 30 seconds to see his block.
